Time Will Reveal: 5 Reasons Why I Do Not Fear the Book of Revelation and Neither Should You

A lot of people ask me, “Does the Book of Revelation scare you?” My reply is “no!”

I do not fear The Revelation because:

[1] God Has Not Given Us the Spirit of Fear (2 Timothy 1:7)

“Do not fear” is a major melody in the Holy Bible.

Many, many verses and passages discuss the fear topic – most of them pointing to the refrain:

“Do not fear. Trust in the Lord for your refuge from fear.”

[2] The Lord Blesses Those Who Read, Hear and Abide by The Book of Revelation

Blessed is he that reads and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein, for the time is at hand (Revelation 1:3).

Reading or hearing Revelation greatly enhances my understanding about Jesus Christ the Lord. Because Revelation discloses, in detail, what no other book does. And the number 7 - that some people designate as the number of God - is also major melody.

For example, the 7 spirits before God’s throne, the 7 churches, the book of the 7 seals, the seven angels with the 7 trumpets, the 7 vials of the wrath of God.

Then there is the Battle of Armageddon, the “winepress of Almighty God,” Jesus Christ in His war general conquering-kingly character, His Final Judgment and the lake of eternal fire intended for the tormented wicked.

[3] I’ve Read The Revelation Too Many Times To Get Shook

Having read, heard and seen the Book of Revelation multiple times has removed the fear factor.

Not that The Revelation scared me to begin with. Think about a so-called scary movie. Usually after the first movie-viewing, subsequent viewing experiences become more and more less frightening.

Like so with each reading of Revelation.

[4] Regularly, Reading the Book of Revelation is Thrilling

In what amounts to electrifying reading, John the Revelator wrote about his experiences seeing prophetic visions, dictating what he saw and heard from both God and angels.

With almost every revealing reading, more details than before are learned, remembered and appreciated.

The movie could also be electrifying but the real-life, fear-free ending will definitely be.

[5] I Do Not Have “Sheeple Syndrome” or “Herd Mentality”

I don’t fear the Book of Revelation just because, supposedly, a lot of “sheeple-people” fear Revelation. I don’t have “herd mentality” or “sheeple syndrome.”

The Lord is the Good Shepherd and I am a sheep of His pasture.

From what some Christians say, some pastors do not feed their flocks by teaching the Book of Revelation because congregations, supposedly, become afraid.

Well in that case, I want more Revelation – right now!

Teeth and tongue will meet, time will reveal the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

Long live His Gospel.
