SUNDAY FUN DAY EXHORTATION POEM: 'Raindrops'

Updated: Jul 3, 2023

Raindrops

Raindrops keep falling on my head

But I ain't melting, I ain't dead

I feel resurrected and refreshed

I'm far from weary, I ain't tired yet

I have the will to swallow bitter pills

And spew forth sweet words of will power

Repeating every hour remaining undevoured

by the devil's minions, casting off opinions for facts

In fact the fear of the Lord brings wisdom untold

Understanding all things, the children of God are bold

Ice cold water could never harm the sons of winter

when the Lord is involved mystery solved, icy hot tea

can't even scald me when God is got me

Mounting up on eagle's wings like a red hawk over vultures

I keep on praising, thanking, praying living Christian culture

I keep on keeping on like a lively stone

Heaven is my future home

My labor is not in vain, my face is prone though

Jesus is love, I can't stop praising his name from off the dome yo

Raindrops can't drown my joy baby boy

Baby girl it's your world if you let God lead it

In one ear and out the other don't let the devils bleed it

Trash in, trash out is what they say

Let God be your umbrella if raindrops fly your way
