DISGUSTING: The Abomination of Desolation to be committed by the Abominable Antichrist in Jerusalem

The "abomination of desolation" is a prophetic phrase used by the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to describe the latter days, end times desecration of the holy place in Jerusalem's new Jewish temple that is already planned to be built.

The holy place aka the Holy of Holies was the room in both the tabernacle and the temple where the Ark of the Covenant was and only the high priest was allowed to enter (Hebrews 9:7).

The word "abomination" means something that causes abhorrent disgust. The Holy Bible's book of proverbs uses the word in various verses to describe what disgusts the Lord (Proverbs 11:1).

The Holy Savior told us the disgusting Abomination would be followed by "Great Tribulation" (Matthew 24:22).

Christians refer to the abomination and tribulation as the time when the world leader self-revealed as the Antichrist will go in the Holy Temple and offer some type of sacrilegious sacrifice offering to the devil.

He will then carry out a period of persecution known as the great tribulation against God's people. But our persecutions will all end abruptly when Jesus Christ returns.

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" (Matt. 24:29-31).

An inglorious example of the Abomination of desolation-desecration of the temple in Jerusalem and subsequent persecution of the Jewish people already exists in past history.

No thanks to the abominable ancient Greek ruler named Antiochus Epiphanes who built altars dedicated to infamously pagan Greece's pantheon of gods in the temple king Solomon built.

An offshoot of Alexander the Great, Epiphanes oversaw the Seleucid Empire based in Syria from 175 BC until 164 BC. During his reign, he ruthlessly persecuted the Jewish people until Judas Maccabeus led a revolt in Israel.

The future abominable Antichrist is predicted to follow Epiphanes' example.

But this time Jesus Christ himself will be leading the revolt instead of the Maccabees, and the Lord will destroy the devil, his Antichrist and False prophet by sending the abominable ones to the lake of fire (2 Thess. 2:1-12; Rev. 20:10).

Jesus commanded us to watch out for the abomination of desolation as one of the signs of His majestic and glorious return (Matt. 24: 15-51).

Don't be caught lacking.

The Holy Lord will definitely be back and those who are unaware may be in for a surprise that they do not want.
