Help for you regarding the Anti-Christian spirit of fear: Is fear a natural defense mechanism?

Writer's picture: Reginald SpannReginald Spann

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

Do you believe that fear is a natural defense mechanism that comes naturally in our birth biology, our genes or our DNA? Or that fear is a normal defense mechanism designed to keep humans safe?

The Holy Bible teaches that if one feels fear, then God the Creator is not responsible.

So if one is in tune with Almighty God, then the answer is clear.

Fear is not a natural defense mechanism. There is no such thing as a “fear gene” or “afraid molecules” in human DNA. Humans do not have “fear tissue” in our brains, hearts, blood, bones, cartilages or tendons.

So, fear is learned, and some of the corporate media bosses, owners and reporter-propagandists know this. A CNN report, dated October 29, 2015 declared “But, remember, that being frightened isn’t always a bad thing. In fact, it’s been a survival mechanism for humans for millions of years.”

First of all, humans have not been around for “millions of years,” according to the Holy Bible’s timeline. Second, this maybe explains why corporate media companies, continues to push fear-based reporting and opinions.

This is a form of psychological and spiritual warfare.

Any single psychological research study reporting that humans are “biologically wired” for fear should be held in suspicion, thoroughly investigated for reliability, faults and fallacies in methodology, sampling and logic.

And, the psychologists should be investigated for possibly taking corporate or government bribes, in my opinion.

The opinionated CNN report cited a researcher who claimed that the human brain is wired for fear - because we duck at loud noises. But, if one human, having a sound brain, does not duck at loud noises, then the researcher must be considered a fraud.

Physical fears can be psychologically weaned out by experienced professionals in controlled “exposure therapy” settings.

But the Christian-preferred method is to believe in the power of Almighty God. When Almighty God teaches us not to fear anything.

We must learn to trust in Him when he says He will keep fear from calling, your feet from falling and your speedway to the Kingdom of Heaven from stalling.

Examples of unfounded fears that can be ridden out by believing in God, and knowing what His Holy Bible teaches, include fear of contracting a virus with a very high recovery rate, fear of death, life, loneliness, the past, the present, the future, of heights, depths, of creatures and the fear of evil. (Psalms 91; Romans 8:38-39)

Here are two acronyms that define fear: F.E.A.R:

  1. Fake Emotions Aroused by Reporters

  2. False Expectations Appearing Real

Again, there is no reliable scientific, psychological, biological or medical evidence of a “fear spirit” or “fear gene.”

We learn to respectfully fear the Lord after we find out what His capabilities are. As children learn to respect their dads. This is why Solomon teaches, in the Book of Proverbs that "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom."

Remember, beloved:

The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe (Proverbs 29:25).

Watch for, and learn to recognize, fear-mongering from the ungodly agents of Satan’s kingdom who want to scare you into submission and away from the will of God. They abound in the media.

At the same time, watch for more and more end times prophesies being fulfilled. Endure until the end. Do not let your heart fail you for fear of what is coming upon the earth. Lean on the everlasting, protective might of the Lord.

Stay firm in the faith, in the love of God and in the commandments and the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
