You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
(Psalms 91:5)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
Are you helping your enemy scare yourself into losing faith in God?
If you are, then recite Psalm 23:4: "I will fear no evil."
The Holy Bible says that in the last days, when Jesus is about to return, men's hearts will fail them for fear of what is coming on the earth.
Fear will stop you from fulfilling your God-given capabilities.
Fear is a Spirit, it cannot be shot, stabbed, punched, kicked, roped, tied or corralled in a corner.
The Lord does not give us the Spirit of fear. It must come from the enemy.
Don't let you adversary scare yourself to death, beloved.
The Bible says our enemy goes about like a roaring lion looking for who he can devour. A lion's roar is fearsome. So, the enemy is prowling about trying to strike fear in Christians, to discover who he can prey upon, to destroy livelihoods and faith in Jesus.
Fearsome lions walk gracefully like the big cats they are, beautiful for situation with their full manes. And if there is a pride of lions around then that makes the collective roaring even more terrifying.
Even if you have several enemies trying to destroy you, remember they cannot devour everyone. Otherwise they would not be looking for people to eat up.
There are those of us who the enemies of God cannot strike fear into. They know it, too. We are just that respectful of and faithful to Him. But that does not mean that the enemy won't try us.
When life roars at you and you respond in terror, forgetting who and whose you are, from where the Lord brought you, then you might scare yourself to death.
That is why He told us, through Paul. "Put on the whole armor of God." Faith is a big part of that armor.
But regardless of faith, we can get shaken up sometimes. None of us have faith enough to make a mountain shift.
We can be like helpless sheep when we do not hear our Master's voice. That is why the Good Shepherd watches over us, as long as we respond to His voice.
He let us know that we need Him, the greatest and most faithful spiritual fighter there is.
He told us to get out of the way and let Him fight our spiritual warfare, even though we have put our Sunday's best armor on. The Word of the Lord is sharper than any two-edged sword.
Isn't that right? Doesn't God fight for us? Can He fight?
Yes, God can fight. God can fight. God can fight. He does fight.
That is why David wrote in Psalms 23 that God's rod and staff comfort him. Shepherds used rods and staffs to fight off ravening wolves and roaring lions.
Don't let the unrighteous enemy mesmerize you to the point that you disobey the Master's voice. The Lord comforts us with His
The Good Shepherd laid down His life for us, so that whosoever believes in Him will have everlasting life.
Remember who you are in the Lord and whose you are. Refuse to be intimidated by the roaring. Start scoring and stay unafraid.
The Devil is a lie. Rebuke Him in the name of the Lord.
Long live the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
