Ask Jesus, Humbly In Prayer, To Grant Your Desires, To Open Doors, While You Still Have The Chance

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." - Jesus Christ (Matthew 7:7-8)

As long as we walk in the ways of God, believing faithfully, according to His will, then He will grant our desires. That is what King David said in the Holy Bible.

"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart." (Psalm 37:4)

Many of us do not have what we desire because we have not asked the Lord to grant it. That is what James wrote.

"You have not because you ask not." (James 4:3)

We must be careful, however, as the Book of James further teaches, to not ask so that we may consume it upon our own lusts and envies, in effect breaking our marriage vow to God, committing spiritual adultery as "friends of the world."

Because friendship of the world is enmity with God.

When we petition the Lord God and Savior, do it in Jesus's name, according to His Majesty.

"If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it." - Jesus (John 14:14)

Christ taught us that vain repetitions of our petitions are unnecessary, because the Lord already knows our needs.

"And when you pray, do not babble on like pagans, for they think that by their many words they will be heard. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." (Matthew 6:7-8)

Stay in focus with the inaudible voice of the Holy Spirit which often speaks during prayer, but also while at church in fellowship, songs, altar calls, sermons, etc., providing divine direction, intuition, comfort and blessed assurance in the believer's life.

If the Lord, through the Holy Ghost, tells you, during your prayer, that you will be all right, then you should, would be wise to and better bank it and believe it. Then rejoice, daily, again and again, over the work of the Holy Spirit.

When we see Jesus again, our hearts will rejoice and no man will take our joy away from us. We won't have to ask Him for anything.

"And in that day you shall ask me nothing," Jesus said. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, He will give it to you. Hitherto have you asked nothing in my name: ask, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full." (16:23-24)
